I've had a yfz for about 2 years now, and finally decided I was tired of throwing money into the stock motor and still getting beat in the open classes. My motor actually blew up at the last race of the year, so I decided to start a new project.
I just recently picked up a motor from an 03 r1 with about 15k miles on it. The guy sent me a video of it running, and it appears to be very clean so all should be good there. I've done some reading on here and I think I got the sprocket location understood. The only thing I need to figure out is what material I can use for a fuel tank and then what to do for an intake seeing as the airbox is HUGE! If anyone has any tips or pointers it would be appreciated! I will post up pics along the way. |
